Is the connection read-only and secure?

Yes on both. The MCP server only accepts read-only queries (SELECT and friends — enforced in code), requires your API key on every request, and scopes everything to your company. Your Claude conversations never train on BrainFlow data, and BrainFlow data never trains on anything.

Does it work with Claude web or only Claude Desktop?

Both. On the web, use Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector with the same URL. On Desktop, add the server to your config file as shown above — or with the Claude CLI: claude mcp add --transport http brainflow followed by the server URL.

Generate an API key

Sign in to your BrainFlow dashboard, open API Keys, and generate a key named “Claude Desktop”. Copy it — you'll only see it once.

Add BrainFlow to your config

In Claude Desktop: Settings → Developer → Edit Config. Add the BrainFlow server:
